25 Sites with Subtle Gradients

Posted in Web with 6 Comments

As some might have noticed by now, I’m a fan of subtle gradients. I feel that a lot of gradients really just go unnoticed, but today that’s changing here at TheDesigned.com. I’ve compiled some of the coolest looking subtle gradients from around the web. Hope you like ‘em!

Very nice examples of a wide range of website types. I enjoy gradients, as well, and find that they’re one of the reasons I personally respond to Web 2.0 in such a positive way.

Thanks for taking the time to put these together!

Some nice sites there, it’s amazing how much difference just a subtle gradient can make compared to a flat colour.

Great collection, I’ve been using gradients in web design but they’re normally more extreme than this. I’ll have to try more subtle effects from now on.

Although I like gradients, my personal taste goes out to the really subtle ones. (that’s why I used it on my blog as well LOL) Gradients give backgrounds, buttons, … just that little sparkle which makes them so nice, but you need to think it over and tweak it a bit to get it just right (I think your grey buttons are a nice example of good design).
